DatabasesParish Records. The Database of Baptisms for Dublin Parishes, the Database of Marriages for Dublin Parishes, and the Database of Burials for Dublin Parishes, compiled by the Dublin Heritage Group for Dublin City Public Libraries, have been incorporated into the Irish Genealogy website and form a significant portion of the total records available on that website. Access the Irish Genealogy website and the various other databases provided here courtesy of Dublin City Public libraries, via the links below. The records so compiled are provided for personal research purposes "as is". Dublin City Public Libraries accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the data "as is" in any way including responsibility for any error, omission or duplication which may have occurred in transcription. Researchers are directed to check records in the original source documents held by the relevant Church Authorities.

You are here: Home Page > Dublin Heritage Group The Dublin Heritage GroupAbout:The DHG was established in 1989 by the Dublin City Librarian and Deputy City Librarian as a special study initiative aimed at assisting in the preservation and dissemination of material relating to the history and heritage of Dublin. Throughout the 1990s, the DHG facilitated a FÁS training process which led to more than 500 participants on group training programmes gaining skills in computer technologies, in the indexing of genealogical interest material and in associated research projects. The skills gained assisted participants in availing of employment opportunities while adding to the story of Dublin City and the surrounding area. Indices, databases and exhibition material created through the training programmes are included in the heritage collections of Dublin City Public Libraries. |
